Ice Warning
The only reason this Texan would write such a thing is that he is out of his native environment. In this case, I'm with the significant other and her family in the midwest United States to enjoy the end of one year and beginning of another. It's a welcome change of scenery over the holidays, and I'm always thankful to accumulate some quality time with the lovely lady friend.
I'm still looking for a new job but am having lousy luck. My goal for 2009, as it was in 2008, will therefore be to find full-time employment again. This time, though, I don't want another economic recession to appear and leave me without an income again. Since the U.S. working world resumes today, so too will my hunt for employment.
